Our Director

Claire Michelle Cosgrove, Ph.D., the Director of Cultural Consultancy, is a facilitator, speaker and cultural consultant. She presents training programmes, workshops and seminars for all ages, for all sectors in the community. Her goal is to improve intercultural communication and respect for people of all cultures. Her services and programmes prepare you for overseas ventures or adventures, whether these be as scholarly exchanges, commercial enterprises or personal travel. Or the emphasis can be on the local and immediate community and workplace where you will gain insight and understanding of cross cultural communication styles and develop skills to enable you to value and work with the richness and diversity of cultural differences.

Claire equips her clients with skills and teaches strategies that will empower you, the client, to leverage the cultural diversity in the community, and especially in the workplace. You will learn how to maximise trust relationships and improve performance in all areas of life, and levels of education and employment. You will learn to understand and appreciate cultural differences, bridge communication gaps and empower a level of trust in working relationships by increasing cultural awareness and mindfulness of those around you.

As an educator, she has worked closely with Asian, Middle Eastern, East European and people from the Horn of Africa. As the Senior Administrator of an Lorna Sundberg International Centre, she facilitated intercultural communication training and cultural awareness workshops for international students, researchers and scholars, and the American community. As an individual I have lived with and amidst many people groups of the globe. Some of her more exciting yet challenging experiences were undertaking field observations of the Kalahari Bushmen and learning Lhasa Tibetan.
