Our Style

Our approach is one of ‘learning and effectiveness’ where we share information, concepts, beliefs and values. We do not dwell on social differences at the surface level but rather focus on the subsurface differences. With new understanding and appreciation of these differences, accompanied with suitable skills and techniques, our workshop attendees can then interpret and relate their new knowledge. This will facilitate improved performance and greater productivity.

Our Approach

Our purpose is to direct your workforce along a path of exploration, bridging diversity through common goals and values. This is partially achieved by embracing the voice of the minority. Ultimately, this embraces change from within the organisation. The change must start with the leadership and be carried through and into work groups and the individual team members.

Our Learning Method

Our learning method is highly interactive and experiential. Learning is a result of a wide variety of activities including simulations, kinaesthetic activities, role playing, group discussion and reflection. We also utilise a range of teaching aids including audio and video clips, scenarios and case studies, competency and awareness testing. These aids are chosen for their respective value in illustrating and highlighting culture, cultural differences and challenges, and effective communication styles and techniques for the culturally diverse environments of the 21st century.

Our Model

Cultural Consultancy's unique approach to cross-cultural training, intercultural communication and cultural awareness uses our unique model to define and develop cultural competence among our clients:


1. The C.A.M.E. model provides clients with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of cultural values based on a three-tier of awareness, mindfulness and effectiveness.
2. The first tier consists of being fully aware of one’s own culture which is the foundation on which to build the next tier – cultural awareness
3. The second tier is exhibiting understanding and knowledge of other cultures around you with a high degree of empathy - cultural mindfulness.
4. The third and final tier is to integrate your understanding, knowledge and skills which we impart to you for cultural effectiveness
