Cultural Consultancy was first established, under a different name, in 2004 in the USA to promote cultural awareness across ethnic borders in the refugee communities in Atlanta. We provide training and learning experiences through interactive seminars and experiential workshops to empower our clients to effectively use the cultural diversity in our community. We consider this cultural diversity as a very rich and valuable resource that requires leverage within the individual, team and organization to result in greater harmony and productivity in both the workplace and community.
Our aim is to create and nurture environments where diverse values resulting from different cultural backgrounds may be blended together in functionality – not by absorption into a dominant culture – but by creating a place for the cultures within the community and so developing a more productive and creative community that is enriched by this cultural diversity.
Our objective is to provide comprehensive cross cultural services tailored for each client’s specific needs and concerns. Our cultural awareness training is designed to open dialogue and broaden understanding. By identifying with our own culture enables us to perceive the culture and identity of other people. With new awareness, our clients will be better able to embrace the diversity in the workplace and community. This will ultimately be realized in greater success in work and personal relationships.
Our philosophy is that - We believe very strongly that our most valuable resources and assets in our community are our people. - We believe that people need to acknowledge the cultural differences, recognize the cultural similarities and realize that harmony between the people is only achieved by understanding and acceptance at the individual level. - We believe that the understanding and awareness of this human resource needs to be nurtured to increase harmony in the local community and in the greater global community. - We believe that to channel the creative and productive energy of a diverse workforce in an optimally effective direction is an asset for both the organization and the individual employee. - We believe that cultural sensitivity is essential for successful intercultural communication.
